Former MEGA CITY FOUR singer Darren "Wiz" Brown died from a blood clot on the brain on December 6, 2006. He was taken ill at a rehearsal earlier in the week and died Wednesday afternoon at St Georges Hospital, Tooting, South London.
Wiz, 44, was living and working in Farnborough, Hants. He had just finished writing material for an album for his current band Ipanema and returned from a successful tour in America.
With his guitarist brother Danny, bassist Gerry Bryant and drummer Chris Jones, the band released 6 studio albums between 1989 and 1996 and achieved success as a live touring band travelling the world.

DAMAGED GOODS LABEL NEWS: “In early 2007 we are reissuing a 30th Anniversary edition of the PORK DUKES compilation that originally came out on Vinyl Japan called 'All The Filth'. It features all of the early Pork Dukes singles and first album and we've even added 4 new tracks from their 2004 'Bin Liner' single 'Pop Stars' too.
Also out in December we have a 7" picture disc of their first single from 1977 'Bend And Flush' backed with 'Throbbing Gristle' (Damgood280P)
Coming along in early 2007 we have a album of material recorded by the rather obscure and yet fantastic PSYKIK VOLTS. They released one 7" in 1979 called 'Totally Useless' which has gone on to be one of the rarest of the early New Wave singles and was listed in Record Collectors top 100 rarest punk singles list from 2006.
So we have the original 7" coming back out as a limited 7" picture disc in January followed by the album 'Re-Volting (’79 - ’06)' following in February. The album contains all the songs from their live set of the time and really shows what a great band they could have been, they did sign to Graduate Records home of the dreaded U*40 and recorded three songs which have never been released.”
