"PUNK, MOJO" is the definitive story of Punk, from Anarchy in the UK to American Idiot. With three decades worth of interviews, insider info, unseen photographs and memorabilia, the full story of rock and roll's most rebellious offspring is told - the gigs, the three-chord classics, the scandals, successes and fashions, in all their safety-pinned glory. Eyewitness accounts from the people who were there, original features from Sounds magazine (the first to cover Punk) and the best music writers from Mojo relate how an underground scene in New York and London transformed the pompous, stale music of the 1970s, and inspired New Wave, Grunge and a whole generation of bands. Get an insight into the good, bad and the ugly of Punk including its foremost icon, Sid Vicious. Relive the heyday of the great British bands: The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned, The Buzzcocks and more. Visit Punk Rock in America from the Ramones to Rancid, Blondie to Green Day and check out the great venues like CBGBs, climb on board the legendary Sex Pistols Thames Party Boat, and find the greatest punk singles and albums of all time. Glasgow band, The Zips release their debut album, Guitars4Hire on September 28th 2006 - 27 years after their debut single! Having been around at Punk's birth in the Seventies, splitting up as it was overtaken by Ska and New Romantics in the Eighties, and re-forming due to European bootleg interest and internet bidding wars for their back catalogue in the Noughties, The Zips now find themselves in the midst of the new guitar band explosion in the UK, and they are loving every minute of it. Lead singer, Jonzip maintains "There's never been a better time to release this CD, since 1977. There's a whole new audience for raw, energetic, back-to-basics rock 'n'roll, which is what punk music was all about. We and the other young bands of guitar heroes are living-proof that there's life after techno, emo and Saga Radio. Guitars4Hire is released on Tenement Toons " 28/9/06 " and will be available via Avalanche Records in Glasgow & Edinburgh, the rest of the world on-line at:
cdbaby.com and emubands.com.

News From TURBONEGRO:
“Gentle volks - Wwe spent a nice day in Dirty Old Town (London) two weeks ago recording a video for "All My Friends Are Dead" with the mighty Dirty Sanchez which will be launched today at 4pm GMT on our MySpace site - myspace.com/turbonegro
The movie premieres in the UK this Friday 22nd September and features the track. The plot: they arrive at our studio - guerrilla stylee - and kill (some of) us off, only to take over the instruments, the costumes and the song. Some great slapstick fun was had by all, both fatalities and survivors. There was some heavy drinking involved. The Midget (not ours, theirs) could not make it, as his wife was giving birth that same day. Look out for the vinyl of "All My Friends" w/some rarities on the B - Side.
Simultaneously 'All My Friends Are Dead' will air in Jackass 2, also premiering Friday 22nd September in the US. Keep connected and we'll let you know where and when the movies will air in your country.
Back in the studio now, to keep recording basic tracks for another two weeks. It is going great and sounds fantastic just listening to the drums on their own. So far we have been recording at Fagerborg Studio, a place with lots of Norwegian pop history in the walls. After this two week spell we will probably continue at Crystal Canyon, then it's off to a country full of fat people to mix. Knut is producing and him, Chris and I ("The Power Trio") are perfecting most of the songs as we speak. This is BIG stuff, very catchy and in your face (ass), very Deathpunk. Some titles: "Boys From Nowhere" and "Bleed For Me (All Night Long)". The working title for the record was for a while "Born To Motherfucking Run", but we dropped it after we received an anonymous phone call from our lawyer. We have decided on a new title, which will be revealed at a later point. Studio duty kept us from going to the Turbojugend Welt Tage, which we heard was a blast (despite the St Pauli loss against the Bavarians), thanks to all involved for making and keeping Turbojugend magic. OK, stay tuned for more stuff soon.” (TOM)

“Sudden
Death Records” is ecstatic to announce the re-release of D.O.A.’s 1983 classic “Bloodied But Unbowed”. Originally culled from the band's first two albums, early singles and EPs, the album became a landmark record which an incredible amount of punks grew up on. SDR has teamed up with “Loud Fast Rules”-Magazine to issue a limited edition picture disc 12” vinyl version. A
feature-length documentary that tracks the lives of the bands, audience members, press, and police who went to the infamous 1978 Toronto punk rock concert THE LAST POGO. Billed as "the last punk rock concert" in Toronto, the event -- and subsequent short film -- captured performances by The Scenics, The Cardboard Brains, The Mods, The Secrets, The Ugly, The Viletones, and Teenage Head; interviews with Freddy Pompeii, Margarita Passion, Mickey DeSadest, Roger T-Bag, The Garys, Steven Leckie...and all of it ending in a riot.
THE LAST POGO JUMP AGAIN, CHACHA CHA CHA! explores what happened to everybody that was there -- and what they're doing today, telling the stories through a mix of music, animation, interviews, and drama. As "docu-detectives", we're going to try and find everyone that was there: the audience, the bands, the firefighters, the bouncers, and the cops that shut the place down.
We started shooting "The Last Pogo Jumps Again, Chacha cha cha!" in June, 2006, and expect to continue shooting until at least the spring of 2007 (in the case of documentaries, more is more -- at least as far as raw footage goes).

Das neue Album der
HUNNSYou Rot Me“ geht weg vom straighten Punkrock und schlaegt ungewoehnlich variable Klaenge an.
Release Date
fuer
beide Alben ist der 13. Oktober 2006.
